KTM Japan Adds ¥350,000 Support and Up to 60-Month 0% Loan for 890 SMT

KTM Japan will run a purchase-support campaign for the 2024 890 SMT from August 1 through October 31. Buyers who contract and register a new bike during the period receive ¥350,000 including tax and can choose either a 0% loan for up to 60 months or a 0.9% loan for up to 84 months. Eligible bikes also receive up to four years of manufacturer warranty at no extra cost.

BMW Recalls 1,034 K1600 Models in Japan Over Reverse-Unit Fire Risk

BMW has filed Japanese recall No. Gai-4217 for 1,034 K1600GT, K1600GTL and K1600B motorcycles. Insufficient sealing may let moisture enter the reverse unit, corroding electrical contacts and causing overheating, malfunction and, in the worst case, fire. Five defects and no accidents have been reported. Replacement of the unit with a conforming part began July 30.
