Brazil Launches 'Move Brasil' Subsidized Loan Program for Delivery and Moto-Taxi Riders
Brazil's federal government launched the Move Brasil Entregadores e Motoapp program on July 27, 2026, letting banks offer subsidized credit for delivery and moto-taxi workers to buy motorcycles, scooters, mopeds up to 160cc, or electric bikes up to 7,500W. Interest rates are set at 12.5% a year for men and 11.5% for women, versus a typical market rate of 25-30%. Eligible applicants include app workers with at least 6 months on a platform and 100+ completed trips, or CLT-registered couriers/moto-taxi drivers with 6+ months at the same employer. Only new, Brazilian-made vehicles qualify, with participating manufacturers including Honda, Yamaha, Two Dogs, Drop and Groove Bikes, priced roughly R$3,990 to R$36,990.
