I wonder which one Hailwood rode and which Agostini rode—I know both names are legendary.

Setting record prices for both an Italian bike and a Japanese bike at once feels like it was a symbolic sale.

At this price it's basically treated as art rather than a motorcycle—nobody's actually going to ride it.

Barry Sheene's RG500 also setting the record for a Japanese bike—both are legendary riders' machines.

It says about ¥96.7 million converted, and yeah, at £967,000 that checks out at current rates.

Hailwood's MV Agusta going for £967,000 is on a whole different scale.
